It’s not just about the nuts.
It’s about getting a little taste (see what I did there?) of what the millions of people with food allergies deal with on the daily. A look inside the life of a mom who deals with the reality that food has the power to harm her children. Wait, has the power to kill her children.
Yikes, ok, that was intense. It’s the reality, but still intense. Let’s regroup.
The purpose of this blog is to share my stories in an attempt to invoke empathy, educate, and build solidarity in a manner that is more relaxed and relatable. To never downplay the seriousness of food allergies, but to get those who deal with them on the daily to know they are not alone and for those who don’t deal with them 24/7 to have some compassion and understanding for those that do.
This isn’t the place to be if you are looking for research and statistics. What you will get here are some facts, some opinions, some humor, some sadness and plenty of realness. And most likely sarcasm. If I throw in a stat it will be from a creditable resource. Take look in the RESOURCES tab for the links to the organizations that know their stuff. And check out the ABOUT THE BLOGGER tab if you want to know a little bit more about me to help you decide if you want to stick around.
Now see that tab up there that says BLOG? I hope you give it a click or a tap or whatever and come along for the ride. My most recent post will also be accessible from this page. Happy reading!
Kim
